Aaryanna's & Wynne's First Trip To The Zoo

Tuesday, January 27, 2015
Visited the zoo last weekend. It was soooo tiring having to bring 2 babies/toddlers there. I've brought Aaryanna out alone many times but none half as tiring as it was at the zoo. Not sure if it's because all of us were lack of sleep (4 of us went out late the day before - I was surprised we could even wake up on time), or because we carried them out of their prams alot to see the animals. I would recommend you to only bring your child/children to the zoo when they've learnt how to walk. Nonetheless, we had a great time exploring the zoo and looking at the animals with our kids. A pity the kid's world playground was closed though. Was so sure they'd have tons of fun there. Oh well.

Didn't take many pictures as we had our hands full with the babies. But still, I hope you guys enjoy the visuals

LOST SG X ALCATRAZ | Singapore's Next Generation Real Escape Game

Sunday, January 18, 2015
Before I start, I'd like to say a huge thank you to the staff over at LOST SG who so kindly rescheduled our game as they knew we were stuck in a jam! :( (Fyi, I never knew the traffic in Orchard would be SO BAD even on a weekend afternoon! :O)

"LOST SG is a real-life room escape game where players have to put together clues, puzzles and race against time to escape from a locked room. Pay attention to every little detail in the rooms, because even the slightest object could be the key to your escape."
Currently, there are 5 games you can pick from at LOST SG.
(You can check out the list of games they have here: http://lost.sg/games/)
We played Alcatraz, which was the easiest of the lot.
Difficulty level: 4.5 out of 6 stars.

"Alcatraz Island prison housed the most dangerous felons in America during its operation from 1934 to 1963. Surrounded by hazardous currents of the San Francisco Bay, no inmate was thought to have ever successfully escaped the maximum-security facility. One fine morning, wardens discovered the disappearance of 3 inmates. Did the inmates make it out of Alcatraz Island braving the unforgiving currents or did they perish into the dark waters of San Francisco Bay?
Relive and uncover the last moments of the inmates and take on the journey to escape from Alcatraz using your analytical thinking, logical reasoning and observational skills.
"
The game started out with us being blindfolded while being led into the room as they didn't want us to spot any
clues before the game started.

We were separated into 3 groups, and our objective was to get out of the 3 cells and escape the prison together. We were SO CLOSE to gettin' out. We'd alr gotten our last clue before the alarm rang! Bummer ._.

Compared to other escape games, this game focuses alot on team work. The games are also more technical, which is a plus point! But I guess it really depends on how you look at it?

As usual, I won't go into much details about the game since I don't wanna spoil the fun for y'all. You'd have to try it to find out! ;)

AB Single Eye Tape Review

Thursday, January 15, 2015
I've been using single side double eyelid stickers for almost half my life and am always on the look out for better eyelid stickers. When I was told to do a review on AB eyelid tapes, I immediately went to google other reviews online and everyone had such good things to say about it. It made me so excited to try em'!
What do you look for in an eyelid sticker?
Personally, I have 2 main concerns. It needs to have a strong hold and not be too visible.

Seems pretty simple, but I have tried more than 20 brands of stickers, fibres, glues, etc. and I can safely say that NONE have both of these crucial aspects together. If it's invisible, it doesn't have a strong hold. Vice versa.

-

Now, check out AB Single Eye Tape on my eyes - It's barely even visible! :O
(Yes, my lips are bleedin' cos J accidentally head butt me while he was sleepin' - efF eM eL)

Tbh, I was expecting it to lose it stickiness after a couple of hours but erm... it has been on my eyelids for the past 48 hours and still going strong. Double U Tee eeF, I KNOW RIGHT.

I have my eyelid stickers on 24/7 and I don't remove em' unless they drop or lose their stickiness (BAD HABIT ALERT) but I don't see the need to change em' cos I don't draw or put anything on my eyelid stickers.

Translucent, non-glossy and clear, CHECK!
Strong hold, sinks firmly into crease line, CHECK!

Not saying this only because it is sponsored but it is prolly the best eyelid sticker I have ever used thus far
Though I have to admit it is slightly pricier than other stickers but you get what you pay for, right?
It costs SGD$19.90 for 80 strips

AB Double Eyelid products are exclusively available at all SASA stores in Singapore!

Find the nearest SASA outlet to you here: http://corp.sasa.com/en/store-locator/singapore/
(Yes, I am having a sore eye)

Stay tune for my next review on their Natural Eye Tape!

5 Things Females Do That Guys Just Don't Get

Wednesday, January 14, 2015
In collaboration with Love Out Loud Asia...

Disclaimer:
This post is based entirely on my own personal opinions. You may or may not agree with what I have to say.

------

1) Not saying what we want.
Beating around the bush leaves alot of room for conjuncture. Men generally do not read between the lines of what we want. I don't know if they're just ignorant or they really don't know. But either way, if you want something, you gta ask fo' it.
2) When we ask you what you're doing tonight?
We really mean what are WE doing tonight?
Females like their men to be initiatie and make the first move, thus it's normal for us to make subtle hints.
3) When women give the silent treatment/ignore you.
Men usually take it that they should leave us alone when we're giving em' the silent treatment since we're silent, right? But what what we really want is for you to comfort us, not leave us alone.
4) Saying the opposite of what we really mean.
Saying "NO" when we really mean "YES"
OR
Saying "WE'RE FINE" when it really ISN'T.

This is SO annoying. Even fo' me. And honestly, I don't know why we do it.
It's like we're programmed to be wired that way or smthng.
5) Getting mad when men don't get our hints.
WHY. IS. IT. SO. DIFFICULT. TO. UNDERSTAND. US?!
Girls generally just like to be spoiled. It's just this childish part of us that comes out especially when we want something really badly.

-

The thing is, men will always take things at face value and move on. But females, on the other hand will always over-analysize and summarize every single situation. Well, let's face it, both males and females will never be on the same level of frequency and at the end of the day men are not mind-readers, as much as we want them to be (lol).

Thank you for reading! Feel free to leave us a comment and let us know what you think!

Blissy Box | Period Care Package

Tuesday, January 13, 2015
IT'S THE TIME OF THE MONTH! D:
Don't we all dread it?

Today, I'll be introducing you to a relatively new period care package brand...
... Blissy Box!

Blissy Box is an e-commerce platform, providing women monthly subscription boxes on feminine hygiene items, including chocolates, yummy treats and special gifts. The box is delivered according to each woman's period cycle and arrives just in time for *ahem* lady time.

Their one-of-a-kind boxes can be customised to meet customers specific needs in terms of lady items (i.e. pads, tampons, liners). They carry the most popular brands, which can freely be mixed. Their care packages starts at S$17/month and they do also provide a no-frills option (i.e. tampons or pads only, excluding chocolates and gifts) starting at S$9/month. There are no hidden fees and subscriptions can easily be cancelled anytime.

With Blissy Box
you are just 3 steps away from a blissful period!

STEP 1 - Pick a monthly plan of your choice
STEP 2 - Wait for it to be shipped to you directly
STEP 3 - Enjoy the lovely treats and relax!

Read more about how it works here: http://blissybox.sg/howitwork.php
A little note from the founder herself
The box that was sent to me was the Lady Light which costs $17/month.
It consisted of 10 pads, a pouch, a couple of goodies and samples.
Ideal for a lady with light-flow or short periods.

If you have lengthier periods, or more prone to heavy-flow, you may opt for Queen Heavy which includes 20 items of your choice @ $20.

4 Walls Group | Company Cohesion

Monday, January 12, 2015
Every once in awhile, our company organizes a gathering for all of us to grab some drinks, hang out and catch up with one another. This time, it was to welcome a couple of new faces as well.

If I'm not wrong, this is the first time I'm ever posting anything regarding my work-related life on this space. Basically, I am an interior designer in 4 Walls Group. There are also a couple of other companies under the group, but I'll touch on that some other time.
It has been SO LONG since I went out this late at night.

Xcape Season 2 | Vampire Diary

Friday, January 9, 2015
On my birthday last year, my friend's took me to Xcape Season 2.
Xcape Season 2 is located at: 160A Rochor Rd (Level 2) and is just a stone throw away from Xcape Season 1 (158B Rochor Rd).

We played the Vampire Diary story (Which I felt was somehow related to the TV series The Vampire Diaries - Correct me if I'm wrong)
In order to return a favor to Salvatore, Dr. Hachi has assigned you the mission to penetrate the place that is rumored to be Dracula’s castle. By “cooperating” with the supernatural creatures, you could overcome the perilous traps and hurdles to retrieve the one and only cure for the supernatural beings to become “normal”. The story of immortal being, blood thirsty soul, and the curse of darkness, may be more than just an ancient legend……
Difficulty Level:
Thrill Factor: :
Recommended Team Size: 4 – 8 Persons
Maximum Capacity: 10 Persons
Age Limit: 12 Years Old OR Above. Players Below 12 Years Old Must Be Accompanied By Paying Adult of At Least 18 Years Old .

 Source: x
Overall, all of us really liked the game! It was extremely challenging, yet exciting and super thrilling! I LOVED THE TWIST OF EVENT which made the game even more exciting than it already is/was. Take note of the special notes given* A friend of mine even commented it was better than the previous game he played (Upside Down: Click here for more info)
Be prepared to count and think outside the box alot, though.

Batam | Dec 2014

Thursday, January 8, 2015
Took some time off from work and headed to Batam with my tiny family along with our friends, last month.

DAY ONE
Dropped the alcohol we bought on the first day together with my phone and now, my camera is dead.
Thank God S5 is, apparently, water resistant. So my phone is saved. Oh yeaaaaaa!
All the pictures you see in this post are from the husband's Ip 5S - Apologize fo' the poor quality images :(

Upon reaching Batam, we walked over to the mall opposite the terminal. I think it's called Mega Mall or something. Had our lunch there and grabbed some neccesities before headin' over to the hotel.

We stayed at The BCC Hotel and Residence.
The room is relatively big and cheap for it's price.
Got ourselves comfortable and took a short rest before headin' to the pool for a swim.

Sadly, the water ended up being too cold so she could only play with the water at the side of the pool. Pretty sure she had fun though!

Had a simple dinner with our friends and headed back to the hotel to rest early.

DAY TWO
Woke up to get prepared fo' the breakfast at the hotel.
Didn't take much pictures of the food cos I was busy with Little A.
Back to our room to have a rest and prep ourselves fo' a day of shopping!
I was told that there would'nt be much shopping in Batam but they have so many baby clothes?!?! So yeah, you guessed it. Most of the clothes we bought were for Aaryanna.
Was so tired from shopping that we headed back to the hotel yet again to have a rest before headin' out fo' dinz.
We had cockles, stingray, crab, prawns, etc. AND THEY ONLY COST ABOUT SGD$20.

DAY THREE
Checked into the premium suite once we woke up!
Only Aaryanna had the chance to use the bathtub, haha.
-
Got Aaryanna and myself prepared and headed over to the mall nearby fo' dinner and some shopping aftermath.
Pretty menu! But it's SO THICK.

Headed back to the hotel to rest early.
Ordered room service in the middle of the night!
DAY FOUR
Woke up early to check out and headed to the shopping mall near the ferry terminal.
We had A&W fo' lunch but it was nth fantastic :(

Shopped around a little - but tbh, there's nothing much to buy in Batam, cept' groceries etc.
When I told my friends I was going to Batam for 4 days, they all said "WTF?!"
There is really NOTHING to do there. But that was what we wanted to do, nothing.
We just wanted to chill & relax. And we did!
Overall it was a pretty fruitful trip.

G'bye Batam
