Why?

So many times, I've ended up here.
And even more times, I've questioned myself: Why?

The thing I've realized is that - People can only hurt you if you let them.
So why do we let them?

And even when they do,
why do we still continue to protect them?

It baffles me to know that despite knowing we are gonna hurt the people we love,
we still do it.

I had such a terrible day today,
but I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day.
