It's been a long while since I've actually stepped into an optical shop. I'm so used to the convenience of just purchasing lenses online which saves SO MUCH hassle. Or so I thought.
I went for an eye health check-up, at Foresight Contact Lens Optics Centre, where my optician tried to understand my lifestyle & vision correction needs. He did an accurate vision measurement & prescription, and comprehensive eye health assessment as well.
Personally, I prefer wearing coloured contacts as they enhance the look of my pupils. Even when I knew that I had astigmatism and knowing that coloured contact lens doesn't help rectify it I insisted on wearing them just because. I always found myself buying coloured lenses with higher degrees so that I could "correct" my astigmatism, which resulted in my eye health and degree deteriorating.
I went there wanting to try the new Acuvue Oasys 1 Day Lenses after hearing so many good reviews about it, but after much discussion with my optician we decided that the 1 Day Acuvue Moist would suit my eyesight needs more. Thank God he was so patient and understanding when I kept asking questions and could not make up my mind! :|
Since my contact lens had to be customised to my eyesight (Becos my astig is really super high) I was told to go home and wait for their call before coming back to get my lenses. I went back 2 days later to collect em'. They also gave me two additional pairs of lenses which I was told to tryout first just incase I didn't like it.
Each box has 30 lenses, but since both my eyes are of different degrees I had to get two boxes.
On days when I don't feel too vain or when I'm just going to work, I put them on and well... basically forget about them. Just about 15 mins ago, I totally forgot I had lenses on and started rubbing my eyes... So yes, it is THAT comfy you won't even know it's there!
